An Enduring Power of Attorney is a document enabling a family member or friend so appointed as Attorney to look after property and affairs in the event that you become unable to do so due to a mental incapacity.

If a family member or loved one loses their ability to look after themselves or their affairs due to a mental illness and they haven’t completed Enduring Power of Attorney, they will have to be made a Ward of Court.
